Who We Are
The Stuart Land & Cattle Company of Virginia is the oldest operating “family-run” cattle farm in the country. And because of that, we understand what it takes to deliver the highest performance of cattle, while maintaining thoughtful and caring stewardship of the land.
What We Do
We partner with our customers by providing them with the best quality cattle – from females to feeder calves to breeding bulls. And because we’ve been in business for over 250 years, we know just what it takes to deliver optimal herd genetics, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.
We are family run and have been for over 8 generations. Operating since 1774 and formally established in 1884, Stuart Land & Cattle Company has been in the business of breeding cattle and managing the beautiful land that spans across 16,000 acres and 4 farms. While cattle is in our DNA, we also work with outside organizations to seek out where, how, and when to best operationalize our land, ensuring we properly manage and maintain our most beautiful natural resource.
